Disneyland Paris, formerly Euro Disney Resort and then Disneyland Resort Paris, is a 22.30 km2 (2 230 ha) tourist and urban complex located mostly in the communes of Chessy and Couvray (Seine and Marne), 32 km east of Paris. The tourist complex, opened in 1992, consists of two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, as well as seven hotels, while the urban complex intensifies the fabric of Sector IV of Marne-la-Vallée through Val d'Europe Agglomeration. The site is favored by many transports, including the extension of the line A of the RER of Île-de-France to the east on 1 April 1992 and financed by the Regional Council, road infrastructures such as the link ramp with the A4 motorway, as well as a TGV station financed by the SNCF, Disneyland Paris and the State and inaugurated on 29 May 1994 which links the complex to the main French and European cities.
The complex is operated by the Euro Disney Group, listed on the Paris Stock Exchange from 1989 to 2017, when the Walt Disney Company purchased 97.08 % of its shares and therefore withdrew from the stock exchange. Its director is Natacha Rafalski since 12 December 2018,...
