palais des ducs de Lorraine
The palace of the Dukes of Lorraine is the former residence of the Dukes of Lorraine. It is a building built in flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles located in the heart of Nancy's saved area, right next to the church of the Cordeliers. It was the principal residence of the Dukes of Lorraine during the Renaissance until the Classical period when the courtyard of Lorraine was transferred to the castle of Lunéville. It currently houses the Lorrain Museum, which traces the history of the Lorrain territory from prehistory to modern times, mainly through the history of the Duchy of Lorraine.
