The gate Cailhau (porta deu Calhau in 1450) or gate of the Palais is a gate of the city of Bordeaux, in the French department of the Gironde. It served as both a defensive door and an arch of triumph (presence of a niche with the effigy of the king). It has been a historic monument since May 28, 1883.
