The National Museum of Customs is a museum of French art and history, inaugurated in 1984 on the premises of the Bordeaux Customs Hotel. It presents the history and missions of the customs administration — one of the oldest in France — from modern times to today, and through it part of the history of France. Unique in France, it also offers dynamic cultural programming, based in particular on major national and local events. In addition, a temporary exhibition space allows to deepen certain themes and broaden horizons.
