Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette Chapel is a church located 67 rue des Raguidelles in Suresnes (Hautes-de-Seine).
Description: According to the Observatoire du Patrimoine Religiouse, it is a "three-span elongated plan church", with on the outside a "face consisting of three entrances protected by a concrete awning. A bell tower is located in the alignment of the facade. The church, with one level of elevation, is covered with a roof terrace".
At the beginning of the 20th century, Suresnes was an expanding industrial city: new neighbourhoods settled on the hillsides. In 1921, Mayor Henri Sellier launched the project of his garden city to house the growing working population. Pastor Patrice Flynn had been planning since 1919 to create a pilgrimage of the Virgin in the city, a "second Montmartre" that would compete with the Parisian sanctuary. It should be noted that Mount Valérien, against which Suresnes was raised, has a rich religious history, a famous calvary having existed there between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries.
