About

The Mont-Valérien Memorial is a memorial to the French fighters, resistors deported and executed by the German occupier. Located in Suresnes (Hautes-de-Seine), it includes the memorial of France fighting, on the slopes of Mount Valérien, at the foot of the fortress of the same name, as well as the memorial path that continues in the military enclosure, towards the clearing that was the place of execution. Every 18 June, the chancellery of the Liberation Order organizes a ceremony there to commemorate the call of General de Gaulle.
