Château de Bazoches

The castle of Bazoches, whose first construction dates back to the 12th century, is located in the commune of Bazoches in the far north of the Nièvre department, in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. From the castle, we discover the first reliefs of Morvan south of Avallon. Beyond the village of Saint-Père is the hill of Vézelay.

His most famous owner was Marshal de Vauban. The castle has been classified as historical monuments since 11 March 1994.
