The Bray Military Cemetery is a military cemetery in the municipality of Bray-sur-Somme, in the department of the Somme, north-east of Amiens.
Location: This military cemetery is located north of the village, Rue du 11 novembre, just a short distance from the last houses.
The cemetery was started in April 1916 by combat units and field ambulances to bury the victims of the battles of the Somme of the sector. In September 1916, as the front line was pushed further east, this cemetery was used by the 14th Corps Main Rescue Post and in 1917 by the injured evacuation posts. In March 1918, the village and cemetery fell into the hands of the Germans, but were taken over by the 40th Australian battalion on 24 August. After the armistice, other bodies will be reported from temporary cemeteries surrounding. The military cemetery in Bray now contains 875 Commonwealth graves of the First World War, 127 of which are unidentified.
