église Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens-et-Saint-Étienne de Brignancourt
Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens-et-Saint-Étienne, or Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens, is a Catholic parish church located in Brignancourt, in the French department of Val-d'Oise. It is a modest building of mostly Romanesque and primitive Gothic style, which unites an un vaulted nave from the end of the 11th century to a choir of two spans finished with a flat bedside, and was completed later, at the end of the 13th or the beginning of the 14th century, by a crusillon south of the first span of the choir. This serves as the basis for the bell tower that has not been completed due to its insufficient buttock.
The most remarkable elements on the outside are the late Romanesque portal, which is surrounded by a row of broken sticks continuing on the pieddroits, and surmounted by a gridded tympanum, as well as the beautiful cornice of the bell tower and the choir. The crusillon is illuminated by a large bay with a late radiant reamping, which announces the transition to the flamboyant style. More discreet are the simulated monolithic to harpsichord lintels of the small Romanesque bays with simple ebrasing, four of which remain south of the nave, and two on the north slope.
