chapelle Saint-Julien de Flainville
Location: The church is located in Bourg-Dun, commune of the French department of Seine-Maritime, 13 route de la Chapelle Saint-Julien, hamlet of Flainville.
History: The building was built in 1323 or 1323-1324, perhaps on the site of a 13th century fortress. The medieval mansion has since disappeared. The religious service was entrusted to the abbey of Fécamp and the appointment belonged to the lord of the place. The chapel is used as a parish church from the 17th century. Several constructions forming the manorial complex were built in the 18th century-19th century. Due to the humidity of the foothills were installed in the 19th century to strengthen the building. The parish merged with Le Bourg-Dun on December 4, 1822. The discovery of frescoes was linked to restoration work in 1913. The Foundation for the Protection of French Art grants a grant of 140,000 francs in 1999. The building is classified as historical monuments by order of 2 June 2008. The murals were registered on 22 January 1961...
