Gallo-Roman villa in Embourie

The Gallo-Roman site of Embourie is a collection of ancient remains located in the commune of Paizay-Nadouin-Eumbourie, in the French department of Charente (New Aquitaine region). The vestiges are mainly those of a vast occupied villa, with several alterations, from the Augustan period to the beginning of the fifth century. A painted decoration of great richness characterizes this site, at all times of its occupation.
