Sainte-Avoie Chapel (or Sainte-Avoie Chapel) is a chapel located on the territory of the commune of La Clayette in the French department of Saône-et-Loire and the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region.

History: The flamboyant Gothic chapel, rare architecture in the Brionnais, was built in the 15th century, at the initiative of Louis de Chantemerle. The latter, then lord of La Clayette, aspired to a certain independence and wished to have his own church. This favor will be granted to him by the Bishop of Mâcon. At the time the main place of worship of La Clayette, the chapel was until the French Revolution an annex of the parish of Varennes-sous-Dun. In 1790, the first municipal assemblies will be held in the chapel under the chairmanship of M. La Metterie, lawyer and first mayor of La Clayette. The last religious office was held there in 1959, ten years after it was added to the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments (1949).
