Sainte-Geneviève Church is a Catholic parish church located in Marolles, Oise department, France. It was built in the 1130s by a workshop from Normandy. His late Romanesque style already calls for the arch in third-point and the arching of warheads, reserved in this case at the cross of the transept, which constitutes the most interesting part of the church inside.
At the same time, the absence of capital columns on the large arches of the basilical nave, and the very stylized and low relief sculpture of the capitals of the transept cross, seem already archaic during the period of construction. Curiously enough, the nave, of extreme sobriety inside, was richly decorated outside. The archvolt of the western gate, and the cornices and the decoration of the side windows, now only visible from the lower side, still bear witness.
