About

The alignment of Bosné, also called Menhirs des Pierres Chevêches or Pierres-Longgues, is a megalithic alignment, now ruined, located in Saint-Just in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine.

History: The alignment was described by P. Bézier in 1886 as Pierres-Longgues:

" It extends from east to west, 70 to 80 metres long, and consists of about fifteen blocks of quartzous pudding and quartz. The first eight blocks, starting from the west, are generally coarse pyramids or pyramid trunks ranging in height from 1.30 m to 2.50 m and the contour at the base from 4 m to 6.50 m, they distance each other from 4, 5, 6 and 7 m. The following blocks have been somewhat moved from the line, which then begins to describe a slight curve towards the South, and have been mutilated. We first find two to 6 meters from the previous ones; they are lying down and barely 1 metre in each direction; Then five, about ten meters away. Finally, a little further on, three or four blocks of a smaller volume are debris from the same monument. »
