About

Guernangoué's alignment is a ruined megalithic alignment located in Roudouallec, Morbihan, France.

History: A menhir of the site is classified as historical monuments by order of 12 May 1925.

Description: The alignment was damaged during the 1967 re-memberment and its disappearance seemed certain until its rediscovery in 1998: from the initial alignment there are only three menhirs left, of which only one is still standing. Menhirs are made of greenish-coloured Cambrian shale block. The erect menhir is 4.25 m high with a width of 1.60 m and a thickness of 1.05 m. The first lying menhir is 4.15 m. It has a decor engraved in a trapezoidal "carton" with a pricked shape of 0.75 m by 0.85 m, with a wide curved stem at the top to the right. The second lying menhir wears about twenty cups.
