Location: The chapel is located in the French department of Orne, in the former commune of Sept-Forges, having absorbed the commune of Etrigé in 1832.

The chapel is dated the twelfth century. The choir is dated the 13th. The chapel was redesigned in the 16th century. The murals dated from the last century were restored in the middle of the 19th century. A large bay was opened on that date in the nave. Other windows and a door had previously been opened. The building has been listed as historic monuments since March 10, 1997, and the structure is protected. In 2004 wall paintings from the 13th century were discovered in the choir. The Savage de l'Art français grants an aid of €15,000 in 2007 for urgent work related to the weak foundations and the weight of the structures. The mobilisation of the municipality and an association Les amis d'Etrigé collects 153 000 €.
