Location: This cemetery is located next to the communal cemetery of the hamlet of Amerval, located about 10 km southeast of Solesmes.

History: The hamlet of Amerval was occupied by German troops at the end of August 1914 and remained far from the fighting until October 1918 when it was temporarily captured by the 17th British Division and then evacuated, before being definitively taken on 20 October. This cemetery was created on that date to bury the victims of the fighting.
