Arènes Jean-Lafittau

The Jean-Lafittau arenas are located in the commune of Amou, in the French department of Landes. They host Irish racing shows.

Location: The arenas are built on the Place de la Técouère at the edge of the Luy de Béarn.

History: Built in 1954 on the plans of architect Jean Prunetti, these new arenas replace old wooden arenas. The library, stairs and shower baths are listed as historical monuments by order of 25 April 2007.

Description: These arenas are oval shaped and made of reinforced concrete painted in white. They are not covered and the stands have a capacity of 1800 places.
