Chapel
chapelle de Pontpierre
The Pontpierre Chapel, also known as the Pontpierre Wood Chapel or the Bon-Dieu-Abandoned Chapel, located in the middle of the Pontpierre Forest in Moselle, is a historical religious building blessed in 1835 with the agreement of the Bishop of Metz and since then has become a place of pilgrimage. Destroyed by the construction of the Maginot line, it was rebuilt by a local volunteer association before being consecrated a second time in 2008 by Bishop Pierre Raffin.
