The Memorial to the Dead of the Eastern Army and the Far Lands, or Porte d'Orient, is a monument to the dead located on the Kennedy cornice in Marseilles, dedicated to the deaths of the Eastern Army and the far lands of the First World War, It was built on the plans of architect Gaston Castel and inaugurated on 24 April 1927. The monument has been classified as historic monuments since 24 May 2011. The monument to the dead of the Eastern army and distant lands is a bronze statue surrounded by a granite arch where it is engraved "UNITLY IN THE DEADS OF THE EAST AND LOINTAINE TERRES".
