Chanzy Stadium is the main stadium in the city of Angoulême. Opened since 1910. It has 8,000 seats and mainly hosts rugby matches in XV of the Soyaux Angoulême XV Charente as well as some football matches of the Angoulême Charente FC. The stadium is named after Alfred Chanzy Boulevard leading to the Vosine Stadium and barracks of the 1st Marine Infantry Regiment.
History: In 1910, the city of Angoulême created the current Municipal Sports Park. The latter first includes rugby to XV and football. On 9 August, the lease of the land, which will give birth to the present Chanzy stadium, was signed by the Sporting Club of Angoulême. In 1932, just next to the Chanzy Stadium, the current Camille-Lebon Stadium, a football field for the local AS des Charentes team, later known as AS Angoulême Charente and now called Angoulême Charente FC, was inaugurated. Chanzy Stadium was for a long time the main stadium of the city of Angoulême.
