Avignon's former comedy is an Italian theatre in Avignon located 9, Place Crillon and inaugurated in 1732. The building functioned as a theatre until 1825, the date of the inauguration of a new, larger room, clock square in Avignon. It is the first place in the city of popes that was built specifically to play plays there.

He served from 1734 until 1824. Built according to the plans of Thomas Lainée, he had as director Fabre d'Églantine from 1785 to 1787.
