The chapel of the Oratory of Avignon is located on Rue Joseph-Vernet. This 18th-century building was started in 1713, taken over in 1730 and finally completed in 1749. It has been a historic monument since 1912. It derives its name from a congregation, the Society of the Oratory of Jesus.
