Although Auguste Perret's architecture is now internationally recognized, the history and layout of the apartments offered in the Havre reconstruction project have long been ignored. Opened in March 2006, as part of UNESCO's inscription of the reconstructed downtown Le Havre on the World Heritage List of Humanity, the Perret Apartment is a museum of the City of Le Havre dedicated to interior architecture, as well as to furnishing and daily life from the Liberation to the mid-1950s.
