Aquarium du Lac du Bourget

The Aquarium du Lac du Bourget, also known as Aquarium d'Aix-les-Bains, is a former public aquarium located on the edge of Lake Bourget, Petit Port, in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie department. This thematic aquarium focused mainly on the aquatic species of Lake Bourget and its surroundings. There were 40 species of freshwater fish.

In addition, the building has been the subject of a "Twentieth Century Heritage" designation since March 2003. The aquarium closed permanently on August 31, 2017 to be replaced by a restaurant and a "Lake du Bourget interpretation centre". Financial but also outdated (standard) problems were raised.

The use of the site was also declining for several years.
