Aquarium de Touraine is an aquarium located between Tours and Amboise, in Lussault-sur-Loire in Indre-et-Loire, in the heart of Touraine. Located near the Loire River, it is the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe (5,000 m2) and consists of 70 basins including a 30-metre-long freshwater tunnel housing species from this river and also from the world's oceans. A total of 12,000 fish are staged in two million litres of water. The Aquarium de Touraine belongs to the Société Parcs de Touraine et Val de Loire, which is part of the European group of leisure and holiday parks Looping Group.
