The Fontenay aqueduct, sometimes referred to as the Cher's aqueduct, is an aqueduct, largely underground, which in all likelihood participated in the water supply of the ancient city of Caesarodunum, now Towers, alongside springs, wells and another intramural aqueduct. It owes its most common name to the place called near Bléré where its starting point was located, about 25 km east of Tours, near a main source; The water table from which it emerged is still being exploited in the 21st century.
