Milliarium
borne milliaire de Bruère-Allichamps
Bruère-Allichamps Milestone is a visible Roman mile at Bruère-Allichamps (Cher), France, used in sarcophagus in the upper Middle Ages. It is arranged in a monumental column on the square of the old village of Bruère, at the end of the eighteenth century, and is then supposed to mark the geographical center of France. It is one of the few ancient terminals indicating three different ways, here to other stations in the city of the Bituriges Cubes, a Romanized Gaulish people.
