Baptismal font
fonts baptismaux à Maurepas
The baptismal fonts of Saint-Sauveur Church in Maurepas, a commune in the department of Yvelines in the Île-de-France region (France), were realized in the 16th century. Baptismal fonts in polychrome limestone are classified as historical monuments as objects on 6 April 1960. Jean du Fay, Duke of Chevreuse, offers these baptismal fonts to the church.
They are composed of two oval bowls. On the front side are the donor cabinets, two beech trees and two wolves.
