cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Saintes
Saint-Pierre de Saintes Cathedral is one of the main religious buildings of Saintes, the second largest agglomeration of the Charente-Maritime department, in France. The cathedral is the seat of the diocese of Saintes until 1802, when it is attached to the diocese of La Rochelle. Destroyed from his title as cathedral, he was returned to him by a papal brief by Pope Pius IX on 22 January 1852, which established the diocese of La Rochelle and Saintes.
She has since been named a cocathedral. St. Peter's Cathedral has been a historic monument since 1862.
The canonical cloister attached to him was classified as a historical monument on 9 June 1937.
