centre abbé Pierre Emmaüs
The Centre Abbé Pierre-Emmaüs is a museum space that presents the life and message of peace, charity and fraternity of Abbé Pierre and the Emmaus Movement in France and around the world. This museum space is located near Rouen, in Esteville, in Haute-Normandie, the village where Abbé Pierre lived and where he is buried. Managed by the Association Centre Abbé Pierre Emmaus (ACAPE), this museum centre was opened to the public on 22 January 2012, the anniversary of the death of Abbé Pierre in 2007. The center closed permanently in July 2024 following revelations about sexual abuse by Abbé Pierre.
