Saint-Maxime Chapel is a chapel located in Riez, France. Built at the top of the hill of the same name, the chapel Saint-Maxime has had a rich history since 1655. Since 1975, it has also been the home of a community of Claresses. It has been partially classified as historical monuments since 1921 and has been registered in full since 2022.

Chapelle Sainte-Maxime de Riez

Location: The chapel is located in the commune of Riez, in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. It stands at the top of the hill Saint-Maxime overlooking the village. The highest point peaks at 637 meters altitude. Two paths connect the village and the top of the hill: the first to the west of the hill is pedestrian while the second to the northeast allows motorized vehicles to climb. The hill is also a crossing point of the GR4, on the section that connects Riez and Roumoules.
