Chapelle du Saint-Pilon

The chapel of the Saint-Pilon is a chapel located in the Var part of the Massif de la Sainte-Baume, in the territory of the commune of Riboux, at the border with that of Plan-d'Aups-Sainte-Baume. Located above the cave of the Sainte-Baume, it is part of the sanctuary dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. It is modest in size and rectangular in structure, and has undergone several restorations and reconstructions, especially after its destruction during the French Revolution.

The last restoration was done from 2017 to 2019. Located on a ridge near a great hiking trail and with a wide panorama, it is a popular crossing point for hikers. The chapel is also one of the geodetic points referenced by the IGN.
