The Way of the Cross and the Calvary of Verdelais are a place of Catholic pilgrimage located in Verdelais, France.

Location: The site is located in the French department of Gironde, in the commune of Verdelais, south of the village. Access is at the end of the pedestrian path that runs along the cemetery from the basilica.

History: Between 1855 and 1868, Cardinal Donnet had the hill of Cussol built to the south of the village above the communal cemetery. At the entrance to the Way of the Cross is the chapel called the Holy Agonia built on the basis of a pre-existing chapel. The path rises by winding in a subforest and is marked, on both sides, by fourteen chapels of neo-Gothic style, all identical in shape and size, about two meters wide in facade over three meters deep, chapels that represent the fourteen stations of the Way of the Cross. The said stations are the subject, in each chapel, of a sculpted bas-relief presenting the scene of the station: condemnation, charge of the cross, first fall, meeting of the mother of Christ, etc. The route ends with the chapel of the Saint...
