château d'Harcourt
Harcourt Castle is a 12th century castle in the French commune of Harcourt in the department of Eure, Normandy. A model of medieval architecture, this building has preserved much of its original structure intact. It is linked to the family of Harcourt, a family of French nobility that would derive its origins from Bernard the Dane.
It has one of the oldest arboretums in France, created by Louis Gervais Delamarre in 1802. The castle is classified as historical monuments. It was restored between 1988 and 1990 by volunteers from the Association Chantiers Histoire et Architecture Médiévales.
