château de Bressieux
The castle of Bressieux is a former 13th century castle whose remains stand on the municipality of Bressieux in the department of Isère in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The castle was the seat of the Barony of Bressieux, one of the four in the Dauphiné, erected as a marquisate by King Louis XIII in 1612. Built in pink bricks, it is now freely open to visit and is also used nowadays for life-size role playing. The ruins of the former castle are classified as historical monuments by order of 16 August 1904.
