château de châteauvieux
Châteauvieux castle, Châteauvieux or sometimes château Ruphy, commonly known, by mistake, château de Duingt, is an old fortified house, renovated several times, especially in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, on the commune of Duingt in the French department of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. His installation on a rocky island on Lake Annecy makes him a favourite for painters, such as Cézanne, Louis Glasser and Suzanne Lansé, as well as for photographers. As historical monuments; the castle is registered by order of 4 August 1994; the boathouse on the edge of the lake, incorporated in the estate of Châteauvieux, is registered by order of 1 December 1988.
