The castle of Miolans is a former castle located in the French commune of Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny in the department of Savoie in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Built in the 11th century in the Combe de Savoie at the gates of the valleys of the Maurienne and the Tarentaise, it constitutes the center of the seigneury and then of the Barony of Miolans, as well as a Savoyard chestnutry from the 14th century. The castle was a prison from 1564 to 1792. The castle of Miolans is located in Savoie on the heights of the commune of Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, between Montmélian and Conflans, in the hamlet of Miolans, 3.5 kilometers from the village (Commune of Chamousset).
