château de Thil
The castle of Thil is located in the French commune of Vic-sous-Thil (Thil was named Thil-en-Auxois), west of Dijon, in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. The presence of a perennial building is attested from 1016 in the cartular of Flavigny and the occupation of the site continues in a certain way until the seventeenth century. While it is true that the castle was heavily restored during the 20th century, its remains still make an architectural study possible. The castle has been classified as historical monuments since 12 September 1905.
