Château de Vocance

The Château de Vocance is a castle in Vocance, France. A place of refuge and justice, the castle administered the five communes of the valley of the Vocance. Its buildings were more numerous than today and constituted a small fortified city, dominated by a dungeon, on the left bank of the Cance.

The site belonged to different families, then its decline followed that of feudality. Of this set, especially its entrance buildings, on the bank of the river, remains that their current owner gradually restores. The site has been listed as a historic monument since 1986.

From time to time it hosts courses in ancient music.
