château du Rocher
The Château du Rocher in Mézangers in Mayenne is a 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th century residence. Located on the edge of a pond, it is built of granite, it is lit with high windows and enclosed with pointed roof towers. A gallery of five arches in basket cove, animating the Renaissance facade, connects the old 13th century house body to the castle chapel (14th century). It is surrounded by French gardens, and has been classified as historical monuments since 13 August 1963.
