The Robert-Lynen cinematheque, created in 1926 by the city of Paris as the school cinematheque of the city of Paris, is the second oldest cinematheque in France still in operation after that of Saint-Etienne, which was created in 1922. Located 11, rue Jacques-Bingen in the 17th arrondissement, the Robert-Lynen cinematheque has been in a beautiful mansion since 1948.
