It is a Gothic church dating from the 14th century. There are also musical events there today. It is classified as a historical monument by the list of 1862.
Lighted at night, it is an important part of the local landscape at any time. Visible from afar, it is notably observable from the A64 motorway and legend says that its bell tower has the peculiarity of being crossed by the Greenwich meridian. The latter is located about 100 metres westward.
