Wayside cross
croix Saint-Martin de Notre-Dame-du-Touchet
The Saint-Martin Cross is a cross of paths located in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet, France. The granite cross was erected in the 16th century. It presents a drum decorated with chevrons.
The dice is decorated with bas-reliefs depicting scenes of passion with a pietà. On one of the sides of the crusillon de la croix patté, it is carved a scene of the Charity of Saint Martin that cuts its cape and on the other the scene of the Crucifixion. The cross was restored in the 2000s with the reinstatement of part of the barrel which was used as the column of a bentier in the nearby church of Notre-Dame.
The monument was listed as historical monuments in 1939.
