mémorial de la Légion d'honneur
The Légion d'honneur memorial, also known as the Légion d'honneur stele, Napoleon's stone and more rarely Napoleon's stone, is a pyramid-shaped monument reminiscent of the exact position of Napoleon's throne on the day of August 16, 1804, when the emperor distributed for the first time at the Camp de Boulogne the crosses of the Legion d'honneur to the soldiers of the Great Army.
