The Villeneuve-d'Ascq Departmental Science Forum is an institution specialized in the dissemination of scientific and technical culture. Its mission is to disseminate scientific and technical knowledge to a broad audience, including children and adolescents, as well as to raise public interest in the societal issues of science, research and industry. It is located Centre François Mitterrand, in the district of the Hôtel-de-Ville in Villeneuve-d'Ascq. The forum created in 2010 the network "Culture de Sciences" which also federates initiatives around Science in the region with other structures such as the (Lewarde Mining Historical Center, Matisse du Cateau-Cambrésis Museum, Lille Natural History Museum, etc.) to unite initiatives around Science
