jardin du Luxembourg
The Luxembourg Garden is a garden open to the public, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Médicis to accompany the Palace of Luxembourg, it was the object of a restoration led by architect Jean-François Chalgrin under the First Empire and now belongs to the Senate domain. It covers 23 hectares (21 open to the public) with flower beds and sculptures. In 2022, according to a list of the English-speaking site HouseFresh, which gathered the opinions of tens of thousands of tourists, it is designated as the most beautiful garden in Europe and the third most beautiful garden in the world, behind the Gardens by the Bay of Singapore and the Majorelle Garden of Marrakech.
