Jardin botanique Jean-Marie Pelt
The Jean-Marie-Pelt Botanical Garden, formerly the Montet Botanical Garden, is a botanical garden located in Villers-lès-Nancy, on the outskirts of Nancy, Lorraine. It is co-managed by the Metropolis of Greater Nancy and the University of Lorraine within the Botanical Gardens of Greater Nancy and the University of Lorraine. Today it is one of the largest botanical gardens in France. It comprises 2,500 m2 of tropical greenhouses, 25 ha of collections and more than 12,000 species from the plant world. The garden is also a member of the network of the Association des Jardins botaniques de France et des pays francophones. The institution has three core missions:
the conservation of plant heritage; environmental education and dissemination of scientific and technical culture; support for research.
