Carreau Wendel Museum

The Wendel "La Mine" tile museum is located on two nearby sites, the Wendel tile and the Vuillemin tile located in Petite-Rosselle in the historical region of Lorraine (Grand Est). These two pits belonged, before the nationalization of 1946, to the Compagnie des coalières de Petite-Rosselle. Even if they were neighbouring, these two mining seats operated two different deposits separated by a fault. It is currently the most comprehensive coal site in France, and is one of the three French anchor points of the European Industrial Heritage Route.
