About

Le Compa, the museum of agriculture is a departmental museum located in Mainvilliers (Eure-et-Loir) on the border of Chartres, France, combining science, history, techniques and arts. Through 3,000 m2 of exhibition, it presents a collection of agricultural machinery from 1800 to 1960 telling the cycle of agricultural operations. It also addresses major current issues related to agriculture, the environment and food.

It organizes parties, demonstrations, shows, concerts, meetings and projections that are addressed to all audiences. Closed in March 2020 during the health crisis, the Compa reopens its doors to the public in September 2022 on the occasion of Heritage Days.
